Content Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Everyone who requests studio work, uploads files, submits assignments or takes part in cohorts must agree to this Content Policy. It draws on the rules of major social media platforms and AI providers, international human rights standards, child protection law, and data and privacy laws around the world. If a request is not clearly allowed, ask us first. We may refuse or stop any job, reject any submission and suspend any account that breaks this policy.

1. Principles

  • Consent: people decide how their face, body and voice are used.
  • Honesty: AI content must never be used to deceive people about real events, people or products.
  • Safety: no content that harms, exploits or endangers anyone.
  • Respect: no content that attacks people for who they are.
  • Legality: no content that breaks the law where it is made or published.

2. Absolutely prohibited

  • Any sexual, sexualised or suggestive content involving minors (anyone under 18) or anyone who appears to be a minor, in any form, real or fictional. We report such material to the authorities.
  • Sexual or nude content of any real, identifiable person, and non-consensual intimate imagery of anyone.
  • Content that promotes, glorifies or gives instructions for terrorism, violent extremism, mass violence, self-harm or suicide.
  • Content designed to facilitate weapons, explosives, drugs or other serious crime.
  • Child exploitation, human trafficking, or sexual exploitation of anyone.

3. Real people and likeness

  • We only depict, animate, clone the voice of or "face-swap" a real, identifiable person — including you — with that person's written consent. You must be able to provide it on request.
  • No content showing real people saying or doing things they did not say or do in a way that could mislead viewers ("deepfakes"), even as a joke, unless it is clearly labelled satire, harmless and consented to.
  • No impersonation of public figures, celebrities, politicians, officials, journalists, religious leaders or brands.
  • No content that harasses, humiliates, bullies, defames or reveals private information about anyone (doxxing).
  • Training a character consistency model on someone's photos requires their consent too.

4. Elections, news and public trust

  • No AI content that impersonates candidates, parties or election bodies, misleads people about how, when or where to vote, or fabricates events, documents or news.
  • Political and issue advertising is accepted only from the genuine campaign or organisation, must be clearly labelled as AI-generated where platforms or laws require it, and must not be deceptive.
  • No fake disaster, crime, war or emergency footage presented as real.

5. Hate, violence and harm

  • No content that attacks or dehumanises people based on race, ethnicity, tribe, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or serious illness.
  • No gratuitous gore, torture or animal cruelty.
  • No content that encourages eating disorders, dangerous challenges or self-harm.

6. Commerce and advertising

  • Product content must show the real product honestly — no invented features, false sizes, fake results or misleading before/after images.
  • No fake reviews, testimonials, endorsements, screenshots, receipts or account balances.
  • No scams: fake investment returns, "get rich quick" schemes, pyramid schemes, fake giveaways, phishing or impersonation of banks, mobile money or government services.
  • No unproven medical, health or financial claims; no ads for prohibited or illegal goods and services.
  • Gambling, alcohol and similar restricted products only where legal, with the required age gating and labels, never aimed at minors.

7. Intellectual property

  • Do not ask us to copy or recreate copyrighted characters, artworks, films, logos, music or brand identities you do not own or license.
  • Upload only material you own or have permission to use. That includes music for visualizers.
  • Do not request work "in the style of" a specific living artist designed to imitate or pass as their work.

8. Labelling AI content

Many platforms and laws (including the EU AI Act's transparency rules and the policies of TikTok, YouTube and Meta) require AI-generated or AI-altered realistic content to be labelled. You are responsible for labelling the content we deliver where required when you publish it. We never remove watermarks such as SynthID added by AI tools, and you must not either.

9. Third-party tool rules

Everything we make, and everything you make in our courses, must also follow the usage policies of the tools involved — for example Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy and Higgsfield's terms. Where those rules are stricter than ours, theirs apply.

10. Privacy and data protection

Do not include other people's personal data — ID numbers, addresses, phone numbers, health information — in briefs or content unless you have the right to share it. We handle personal data under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and comparable laws such as the GDPR.

11. Enforcement

  • We review briefs before quoting and may decline them.
  • If a breach is discovered after payment, we stop work. Refunds follow the Refund Policy.
  • Course submissions that break this policy are rejected and may lead to removal from the course without refund.
  • Serious breaches lead to account closure and, where the law requires, reports to the authorities.

12. Reporting

If you see content made by Early Monks AI that you believe breaks this policy or uses your likeness without consent, contact us with a link and description. We will review it promptly.
